Xiaomi has been notorious for offering people feature-packed smartphones with affordable price tags. The Mi 10 managed to be a hit among Android users with its quality specs and great price. Now to succeed its successful predecessor, the Xiaomi 11 is all set to launch on 28th December and hit the markets soon after that.
MI users have been waiting for its launch for months now, and it’s only a few days away. However, a few leaks and tips surfaced the news earlier, especially the price at which the Xiaomi Mi 11 will be set at.
Sources claim that it is set to be priced much higher than its predecessor, the Mi 10. The deets were leaked through a new teaser video, where the Mi 11’s look was showed for a few seconds.
The said phone is supposed to hit the markets in China by next week and is likely to tag along with its higher-end variant, the Mi 11 Pro which is allegedly supposed to be even pricier.
How Did the Prices of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Leak?
The famous smartphone concentric blog Phone Talks spotted the price of the Mi 11 when it reared its head on Weibo, prompting it to make headlines. The Mi 11 is supposed to flaunt a sky-high price tag of Rs. 50, 700; much contrary to the usual affordable pricing trend that Xiami has previously followed.
The said price is supposed to mark the purchase of the model’s 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory variant, while the other one with the same RAM and 256 GB storage is supposed to be 4K higher, allegedly priced at Rs. 54,000.
If we draw up comparisons to the Mi 11’s predecessor, the Mi 10, it was launched at around Rs. 45,000 last year that climbed up to Rs. 53,000 for the other, higher-end variants. It’s a bit of a surprise to see that Mi decided to launch this year’s base model with the starting price tag equal to last year’s costliest Mi phone.
The masses are said to have high hopes from this one, so who knows, maybe Xiaomi has a lot in store with its 11 series.
However, as these are alleged reports and mere rumors, it’s best not to act upon them as there is no official data or proof stating the same. However, the popular platform Weibo hinted at the Mi 11 to be possibly priced at around the same range as its predecessor’s launch price, which is around Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 56,000. On the other hand, the Mi 11 Pro is supposed to be even more pricier with rumors suggesting it to be priced at Rs. 59,779 and Rs. 62,025.
What these will actually be priced at is something only time will tell. However, it is going to be a tough battle with so many androids hitting the market, including Huawei Enjoy 20 SE and Oppo Reno 5 Pro + 5G. Watch out for the Xiaomi Mi 11’s release next week on 28th December!
