“Two years ago, we also launched our DTT device here in Davao City for Mindanao area. Today, we are very excited for the added innovation to the device that will further enhance our Kapamilya experience,” said Christie Navacilla Garcia., ABS-CBN Davao station manager, during the media and trade launch last December 4 at The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites.

According to Garcia, there are now 74,000 households enjoying ABS-CBN TVplus in Davao alone.

The much-awaited ABS-CBN TVplus Internet now allows households to enjoy wireless internet connectivity aside from access to free and exclusive TV content choices from ABS-CBN channels, such as CineMo, an all-day movie channel; YeY, an all-day children’s entertainment channel; Knowledge Channel, an educational channel that airs curriculum based programs; DZMM TeleRadyo, which offers the live broadcast of programs from DZMM Radyo Patrol 630; ABS-CBN S+A for live coverage of sports events; and KBO, a weekly movie feature, all in crystal clear HD picture and sound.

Powered by the ABS-CBNmobile prepaid broadband stick, the new ABS-CBN TVplus Internet box also functions as a WiFI Hotspot that can connect up to 4 gadgets to the web. The DTT device also has pre-installed apps, such as Facebook and Wikipedia, to address the online needs of the younger members of the household.

“Internet connectivity is prepaid. This enables families to control their data usage and making it also affordable to them to access information online. All they need to do is subscribe to ABS-CBNmobile’s KSURF promos,” shared product marketing head Regina Napile.
