Torres, Nitorreda head cast in 29th GET Open ceremonial tee off

GUILLERMO E. Torres (GET) Open golf overall Chairman Willie Torres and Apo Golf and Country Club president Atty. Manny Nitorreda will head the cast of dignitaries during the 29th GET Open golf tournament traditional ceremonial tee-off rites on Sunday.

The traditional ceremonial rites will be at 10:30 a.m. prior to the second shot gun tee off at 11 a.m.

Also invited to join the ceremonies are President Rody Duterte, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte, Sec. Manny Pinol, Sec. Jesus Dureza, Amb. Bahnarim Guinomla, Atty.  Gomer Dy, RD Bong Gonzaga, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Butch Ramirez and Edwin Torres of UMBN Makati.

Some 180 golfers are seen to join the annual golfing spectacle dubbed as the city’s longest running tournament to date.

A brand new Mitsubishi Adventure GLX and one million pesos cash will be at stake as the premium hole-in-one prizes to go along with four motorcycles from Motortrade and a 32-inch LED. It will be at stake on designated holes located at par three fairways.

The Royal Mandaya Hotel Grand Ballroom will host the tournament’s awarding rites on that evening at 6 p.m. The awarding ceremonies will highlight the cheque hand over rites to the Mount Apo Science Foundation Incorporated which is the beneficiary of the activity.
