The Royal Mandaya Hotel to host 29th GET Open awards

THE ROYAL Mandaya Hotel Grand Ballroom will serve as host to the awarding ceremonies of the 29th Guillermo E. Torres (GET) Open golf tournament set this June 18 at 6 p.m.

Timely to host the 180 expected participants who will join the annual golf spectacle on that day to be played at the posh Apo Golf and Country Club, the awarding ceremonies will culminate whole day activity. Aside from the awarding of winners, it will also highlight the cheque hand over rites to the Mount Apo Science Foundation Incorporated which is the beneficiary of the activity to be initiated by GET Open overall chairman Dr. Guillermo P. Torres Jr.

On that day, shotgun tee off rites will be held at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. A brand new Mitsubishi Adventure GLX and one million pesos cash will be at stake as the premium hole-in-one prizes to go along with four motorcycles from Motortrade and a 32-inch LED. It will be at stake on designated holes located at par three fairways.

EDWIN Torres of the University of Mindanao Broadcasting Network (UMBN)-Makati will be one of the dignitaries who will initiate the traditional ceremonial tee on Sunday’s 29th GET Open golf tournament at the Apo Golf and Country Club.

The annual tournament dubbed as the city’s longest running golf competition to date will follow the Individual Modified Stable Ford mode of play.

Registration is ongoing at the Apo Golf and Country  Club and at the University of Mindanao Broadcasting Network (UMBN) offices. It is pegged at P2,000 per entry inclusive of a mulligan.
