Talomo National High School conducts medical mission

THE TALOMO National High School (TNHS ) faculty and staff conducted its first medical mission last October 28,  with the theme, “Pakigdait, Pakighiusa, Kalambuan” at Purok 21, Ideal Village, Bago Gallera, this city.

More than a hundred residents availed of the free medical consultation rendered by Dr. Jonathan Pastrana and Dr. Luzviminda Floresca. Basic medicines for common illnesses were also given to the beneficiaries.

It was the first activity of such kind and the teachers were glad to participate.

One teacher said, “I’ve been in Talomo NHS for 15 years but this is my first time to be part of a community outreach program that is as meaningful as this. The preparation for the past two months was not that easy but truly, life becomes meaningful when it is shared.”

The activity was initiated by Mr. Edgar Floresca, Prefect of Discipline of Talomo National High School, with the coordination and support of Hon. Cristito P. Lazaro, Punong Barangay of Bago Aplaya, Davao City.(PR/ Angelita C Nacorda)
