Seda Abreeza Hotel obtains another star

THE Department of Tourism has granted another star rating to Seda Abreeza Hotel, increasing its number of stars to four.

Kennedy Kapulong, hotel manager, said that the hotel management is happy as the increase in their star rating symbolizes that their effort to improve the quality of service has been achieved.

“DOT has recognized our efforts to keep up with the standards that they have set,” Kapulong said, adding that the hotel will continue to improve the quality of services that it provides to its clients.

“It is a challenge for us to keep up with the status. That is why we have to keep up with the trainings and upgrade the knowledge and skills and our facilities,” he added.

Tourism Regional Director Roberto Alabado III said the rating improvement pushes the hotel to provide better service as clients will expect that when they patronize it, they will get their money’s worth. “The higher the stars, the higher the quality of service the company is giving,” he said.

He said the star accreditation comes with a point system that undergoes many processes that scrutinize all facets of an accommodation business, among them the availability and quality of the facilities.

“There are so many factors to be checked with point system. The point system will decide the number of stars a hotel could have,” he said.
