SCENE CITY| Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao lights up Aquatic themed tree

EVERY year the lighting of the Christmas tree symbolizes the beginning of the Yuletide Season and gift giving. This is also the beginning of merrymaking at the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, which set the date on November 25, 2015.

As in every Christmas tree lighting, the occasion was more meaningful with the presence of the children afflicted with cancer. It is the Waterfront Hotel’s gift to the House of Hope to raise funds by selling Christmas decors from the tree, to the guests and donating the proceeds for these children’s medical needs. Dr. Mae Dolendo was present for the special occasion.

GM Brian Lasala welcomed the guests, including Japanese Consul/Director Tomoko Dodo, Malaysian Consul General Abdullah Zawawi Tahir and patrons who have always supported the cause of the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao.

The children were entertained with “kadang-kadang” or clowns walking on stilts, jugglers and dancing.
