SCENE CITY| Visit Davao Food Trip and Walking Tour

A FOOD Trip and Walking tour on April 13, 2015 was experienced by a combined group of media members, bloggers and sponsors which made its way on a passenger jeepney to Davao’s iconic edifices such as the City Hall, San Pedro Cathedral, Osmena Park and Museo Dabawenyo.

DOT REGION XI group led by DOT XI Regional Director Roberto Alabado, Eden L. David, Lisette Marques of CTOO, Bonamine Sposnsors, Olan Emboscado, Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio and Claude LeNeindre

The group then proceeded to the food trip to Bankerohan Public Market to taste Puto Maya, native chocolate drink with coconut toddy and a taste of fresh Durian fruit.

The food trip and walking tour will be participated in by tourism schools starting on April 23 -27 with two schools per day and ten students and one adviser per trip. An exerienced tour resource person has been tapped by the Department of Tourism Davao to handle the tours. Bloggers and media persons will also be assigned on these trips to promote the experience.

Lunch was at the Oboza House at Claude’s Restaurant with Claude and Tess Le Neindre hosting guests DOT Region XI Regional Director Roberto Alabado, Former Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio, Lisette Marques of the Davao City Tourism Operations Office, Eden L. David of DOT Region XI amd DOT staff and sponsors of the tour. Transportation was subsidized by Bonamine under the free tours program of Visit Davao Fun Sale.
