Scene City: Sweeties Dessert online homemade dessert

In the midst of the Kadayawan festivities, we had the chance to meet Kimberly Ramos who loved to bake since she was a little girl.

“Since I was in grade school, I was a food lover already. I love to cook and bake on holidays and special events. I watched and helped my mom and our maids whenever they made their specialties. Through that passion to learn, my mom enrolled me on a kid’s culinary workshop every summer. As I grew up I began to mix and match different kinds of ingredients to do my own recipe.Picture1

Last Aug. 4, 2017, I made my aunt an Almond Mango Float since it was her birthday. Everybody loved it and I decided to try selling online and it turned out it was a hit! So I thought of expanding to cheesecakes, which I really love to eat. I started with blueberry and mango cheesecakes. Again, it was a hit! In time I made four different flavors and sizes of cheesecakes. Next were cupcakes – Red Velvet and Chocolate Cupcakes, luscious cakes -Fruity Cake, Dark Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Mousse Drip Cake and Red Velvet Cake.

Most of my desserts are self- taught. I enrolled twice in a one day in a lifestyle workshop to enhance my flower designing and basic cakes. For the basic cakes class, it turned out that I already knew the basics. I was the head of the class, helping my classmates. By then I realized that my skills were not at a beginner level only.
For next year, I plan to do fondant cakes for birthdays, debut and weddings, until I realize my dream to start my own café.”
