SCENE CITY| Seawind project groundbreaking

GROUND preparations of the Floirendo-owned Damosa Land Inc. are underway for buyers of its condominium project, the Seawind.

At the groundbreaking event last week, Ricardo F. Lagdameo, vice president of the developer said buyers can either secure financing from banks, sister company Uni Financing Corp. and even the Home Development Mutual Fund, better known as the Pag-ibig Fund.

Lagdameo said the Pag-ibig Fund, a government agency, has been supportive of the 2.8-hectare project, the first condominium project of the homegrown company, which is part of the Anflo Group of Companies founded by Lagdameo’s late grandfather, Don Antonio O. Floirendo.

At his welcome address during the event, Lagdameo said the company decided to set up the project as the city has become an attractive area for investments, particularly those in real property development.

“The company”, he added “is looking at those living in the nearby areas as well as those from the provinces as among the buyers of the project. This is the nearest to people from Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte and Compostela Valley who want to have a property in the city,” he said.

Another buyer segment that the company is targeting, are those young professionals who, for married ones, earn a combined income of between P30,000 and P40,000 a month.

The project provides buyers with the view of Samal and will become the major undertaking of the company, Lagdameo told the TIMES earlier.

Only about a fourth of the area will be developed for the six buildings and a commercial strip, which at present is existing, but which the company is enhancing to provide it with a better look as it will serve as the must-go-to place for those owning units in the area and those coming from nearby areas.

The rest of the area will be utilized for roads and amenities, while the biggest space will be open to provide a cooler environment for homeowners to just walk around or jog.

He assured the buyers that the company will make sure that they will get their money’s worth as it carries the Floirendo brand which is known for high standards.

The company is looking at starting the first three buildings next month.
