SCENE CITY| Indulging in a Crab Lunch Buffet the Waterfront way

PASSING through the buffet service filled with crabs and prawns cooked in so many delicious and tempting ways, we could only wish we could stay at Café Uno for hours until we could consume an unlimited quantity of the seafood we love to eat.

Last Wednesday, July 12, 2017 we were invited to indulge in the seafood lunch buffet at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao for a mid-week treat. It was also an opportunity to gather media friends before Executive Chef Victor Barangan departs from the hotel after more than a two-year service.

He couldn’t just leave without crafting a great set of buffet menus for Uno, of course, where lots of friends have learned to love his recipes and meals. He says it is the season for crabs and prawns and that is why it is so inviting to head to Café Uno with our family and guests to enjoy the Crab Buffet.

We tried the quarter crab buffet menu which included the main courses in an unlimited serving: Chili Crab, Salted Egg Crab, Curry Butter Crab and Squid and Pepper Crab and Shrimp in Pepper Sauce.

Besides the Crab Buffet, the restaurant features Filipino Fiesta on Mondays and Thursdays, Katsu Series on Tuesdays and Sundays and an All Steak Buffet on Saturdays.

Sharing the Crab Buffet and Seafood lunch with us was General Mananger Bryan Yves Lasala, Ces Gamalong and Jennifer Romero. And of course, Chef Victor Barangan whom we will surely miss!
