SCENE CITY| Ed and Helen Guillergan reminisce years of “Gintong Alaala”

AUGUST 20, 1966 was the culmination of a seven-year courtship, solemnized at the United Church of Christ in the Philippines, Davao City.

A narrative written in Filipino by the couple’s long-time friend, Lilia “Ding” Callegan relates their story – “Gintong Alaala”, which this writer will try to translate, as the story of their courtship is written like a script in today’s serialized romantic episodes.
