SCENE CITY| Consul General Berlian Napitupulu celebrates New Year 2018

IT WAS an intimate reception held at the Indonesian Consulate that we attended on the evening of January 08, 2018. The invitation was for an Open House to be held at the Indonesian Consulate to celebrate the New Year. We had no idea Indonesian Consul General Berlian Napitupulu was also celebrating his birthday on the same occasion at his official residence.

Consul General Berlian Napitupulu mentioned his numerous and impressive accomplishments and plans during his term here in Mindanao. His wife Elisabeth was a gracious host for the informal reception and dinner consisting of Indonesian traditional menu.

Consul General Berlian Napitupulu mentioned the highlights of his accomplishments with this message: “During the year of 2017 Indonesian Consulate General has conducted series of activities to promote Indonesia in the fields of economic and trade, culture, and tourism as well as the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Southern Philippines, such as: the 1st Indonesia Food and Beverage on March 17-19, in the House of Indonesia; the 1st Indonesia Culinary Festival on March 17-19, in Marco Polo Hotel in collaboration with Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City; the 1st Indonesia Manufactured Products on July 22-24, in House of Indonesia; the 1st Indonesia Fashion Expo on November 24-26, in Abreeza Ayala Mall; Five series of Indonesian Cooking Lesson on May 24,- June 6, in collaboration with Marco Polo Hotel and Vikings Restaurant; Indonesian Culture, Tourism, and Economic Promotion at the 28th Kalilangan Festival on February 22-23, in General Santos City; Indonesian Arts, Culture, and Tourism Promotion at the 80th Anniversary of Davao City (Araw ng Dabao) on March 10 and 16; Indonesian Arts, Culture, Economic, and Tourism Promotion at the 7th Mahin Festival on April 21-22 in Glan, Sarangani Province; Indonesian Arts, Culture, and Tourism Promotion at the Kadayawan Festival on August 20, in Davao City; Indonesian Arts, Culture, Eonomic, and Tourism Promotion at the 1st BIMP-EAGA Budayaw Festival on September 20-24 in General Santos City; Indonesian Economic and Tourism Promotion at the Zamboanga Peninsula Expo on October 6-10 in Zamboanga City.”
