SCENE CITY | Bonjee meets Santa

SHARING our blessings has become a passion for many. Organizations, clubs and birthday celebrants have grown more charitable these days, sharing important occasions with children and the less fortunate sector in the community.

JCI Durian City, Inc. is one of those organizations who went out of its way during the Christmas holidays to make children happy. Skye Dionela says “The Magic of Christmas is not in the presents but in Jesus’ presence through His working instruments.”

Bonjee meets Santa was a Christmas-charity project of the JCI Durian City Chapter held last Dec. 26, 2017 at Market Basket, Damosa, Lanang Davao City. The beneficiaries of the project were the children and families of the Association of the Differently-Abled Persons (ADAP) headed by its President Mr. Redendo Martinez.

The officers and members of the organization prepared gifts and tokens for the children and their parewnts. A Magic Show was performed by Past President and Master Magician James Infiesto to entertain children and adults by doing different magic tricks and bubble magic.

The Christmas charity project was made possible through the efforts of the chapter and other sponsoring groups.

• Sponsors and partners who helped and extended their hands for the project were: the AOF Foundation, Damosa Land, Bluejaz Beach Resort and Waterpark, Mercy Lim of RDL, Ms. Jeannie Molina of Damosa Land, Ms. Gladys Ayuste, Mr. Ryam Yap of Chiaw Photography, Ronelyn Llanos of Miso Spa, Christine Joy Suazo of Events, Grace Retrato, and Councilor Tommy Pendatun.

The program was a success, prepared through the efforts of the JCI Durian chapter’s officers headed by JCI Mem. president Skye Dionela, the board of directors, the members and the aspirants.
