November 4, 2017 was a post birthday celebration held at the Crystal Ballroom of The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites, as Pia was in Long Beach, California, USA on her actual birthday on July 7, representing the Philippines in the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA), where she won a gold medal for Classical Ballet, a silver medal for Dance Ethnic and was 2017 Champion of the World Division Winner for Classical Ballet.

Asked why she waited four months before holding her debut, she explained that the family decided to wait for her brother Clyde, with whom she incidentally shares the same birthday along with their father, to come home from his two- year mission.

With a Cinderella-Ballerina theme, the event opened with an enchanting ballet performance from the debutant and her peers from the Royeca School of Ballet.

The different debut traditions followed such as 18 Pas de Deux with roses, 18 treasures, 18 journeys, 18 butterfly wishes and 18 blessings with her closest friends, family members and relatives giving her their heartfelt wishes and bestowing her with unique and thoughtful gifts. She also danced the cotillion with her closest childhood friends.

Before the clock struck midnight, the beautiful ballerina-princess thanked her loving parents Olympio Jr. and Dorethea Romo for granting her wish to have a magical debut.
