Reward for info on missing girl

A REWARD awaits anyone who could provide information leading to the whereabouts of a seven-year-old girl who has been missing since last month.

The Office of the City Mayor set a P50,000 cash reward to anyone who could give tip that could help locate Elisha Kyle Bangod.

“We are calling the attention and support of the community to please help us to locate the whereabouts of the said missing child,” the statement from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said.

The authorities also assured that any given sufficient material and relevant evidence will be dealt with confidentiality, including the identity of the informant.

Based on the report, Bangod has been missing since April 26. She was last seen at the neighborhood in Times Beach, Barangay 76-A.

The elder brother of the girl initially said a gang member named Jane took her sister.

But the abduction report, which immediately spread on the social media, was downplayed yesterday by the police after the mother of the victim said the statement of brother was incorrect.

The mother went yesterday to Sr. Supt. Alexander Tagum, DCPO director, to clarify the earlier abduction report.

Thus, the Women and Children Protection Desk of DCPO and the Talomo Police Precinct went anew to the area to interview relatives pertaining to the incident.

Police have since launched a massive search and rescue operation for the missing child.
