Radio station staff nabbed for drugs

A MARKETING officer of a radio station was arrested by agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI in a buy-bust operation inside his house in  YCF, Barangay San Antonio, Agdao District at 11:50 a.m. yesterday.

Nephi Dimaandal, spokesperson of PDEA XI, identified the suspect as Christopher Malubay, alias Toping, a marketing officer of DXGO.

Malubay was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to an agent in exchange of P500 money.

PDEA director Adzhar Albani said the suspect has been engaged in the illegal activity for two years.

“But he was just recently put in surveillance,” he said.

Albani said Malubay is considered as a high-value target because he belongs to a media entity.

The suspect is now at the detention facility of PDEA XI pending the filing of appropriate case for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
