POLICE FILES| Drug suspect falls

POLICE seized P50,000 worth of shabu from an alleged drug trader in a buy-bust operation conducted near Krizia garage along Diversion road in Matina, Davao City at 12:30 a.m. yesterday.

Supt. Grecel Sagpang, commander of Talomo Police Precinct, identified the suspect as Aljer Bandia Aboyme, 29, resident of Purok 1-A, Brgy. 76 in Boulevard.

According to the report, an informant appeared at the station and reported that alias Alger was engaged in illegal drugs in the said area at 9:30 p.m.

A team from Talomo police then left the office after a briefing to conduct an operation were the suspect was apprehended.

Seized from  Aljer were 25 elongated sachets of shabu worth P 50,000 and P1,000 marked money.

Sagpang said they have been monitoring the suspect for about a month. The suspect is now detained in Talomo Police Precinct while a case for violation of RA 9165 or “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002″ is being prepared against him.

Passenger nabbed over gun possession

A 39-YEAR-OLD taxi passenger was arrested after authorities seized improvised gun in a Task Force Davao checkpoint in Barangay Sirawan, Toril District at 11:40 p.m. on Thursday.

Lt. Col.  Nestor Mondia, the detachment commander identified him as Christopher L. Sardido, resident of MacArthur highway in Digos City.

According to the report, Task Force Davao personnel SCAA Tony Lindaay was inspecting the taxi when he saw an improvised Uzi and one magazine with 12 live ammunitions from the suspect.

He was riding a taxi bearing plate number AAF 884 driven by Nicodemos L. Tamblon heading towards the city.

The suspect was then turned over to Toril Police Precinct for filing of appropriate charges in violation of RA 10591 or “Illegal possession of Firearms.”
