Worker killed
A laborer was shot to death in Purok 2 Barangay Manuel Guianga, Tugbok District at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Police identified the victim as Premo L. Obeso, 38, resident of the area.

Investigation showed that the victim was having a drinking session with his neighbor, Sopronio T. Madrid, outside his house when the latter heard a gunshot.

Obeso collapsed to the ground and Madrid immediately ran towards the back portion to seek for help.

Scene of the Crime Operatives failed to recover any cartridge at the area. Obeso, meanwhile, succumbed to a lone gusnhot wound on his right chest.

His cadaver now lies in Angel Funeral Parlor.

Police arrested the suspect in the killing of a 39-year-old man in Purok 3, Barangay Biao, Tugbok District at 2:25 a.m. on Sunday.

Arnold H. Daya sustained several gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body. He managed to run away and told his wife that he was shot by his neighbor, Julius C. Buot.

The victim was brought to the Southern Philippines Medical Center but he died before doctors could attend to him.

Scene of the Crime Operatives Recovered five cartridges and one magazine from .45 caliber at the scene.

Buot was arrested during a follow-up operation by police officers who also recovered the pistol believed to be used in the killing.

The Tugbok police is looking at personal grudge as the possible motive of the killing. The suspect is now detained at the precinct awaiting the formal charge to be filed against him.
