Police, army reveal December activities

THE POLICE and military are gearing up for the security preparations and different activities heading toward the month of December.The Davao Police Regional Office will be conducting different training courses for sniping, special weapons and tactics and maritime operations. There is also the three-day processing of permits for firearms and explosives first week of December.

The 10th Infantry Division will also conduct a Heroes Run, a socio-civic activity on Nov. 30 which will be held in Tagum City. Proceeds will go to the Heroes Foundation while the Serbisyo Caravan of the Arena-XI will be conducted in Barangay Gupitan in Kapalong, Davao Del Norte.

On Dec. 4, there will be a “Padyak Kapayapaan,” to be attended by around 300 bikers, which will be conducted for the victims of Typhoon “Pablo.”

“A Bike for Peace will start from headquarters of 10th ID going to Andap in New Bataan,” said Lt.Col. Norman Zuniega, division assistant chief of staff, during the AFP-PNP Pressconference on Wednesday.

The Task Force Davao, meanwhile, will continue its bomb awareness symposium among employess of the different establishments in the city. On Dec. 2, the Task Force Davao will also conduct a medical mission with its partner organizations and distribute Christmas gifts to the Lumads.
