Peace caravan in Davao later this month: OPAPP

THE OFFICE of the Presidential Adviser in the Peace Process (OPPAP) will conduct a peace caravan in the city this coming friday as part of the peace consciousness month celebration.

Oliver Bancillan, representative of OPPAP, invited Davaoeños to participate in the activity as part of the National Peace Consciousness Month this September.

“We are spearheading a number of activities the other was already done last week and in cooperation with the Davao peace council and the OPPAP under Secretary Jesus Dureza enjoins the people in celebrating the peace consciousness month,” he told reporters on Monday’s Kapehan sa Dabaw press forum held at SM City Ecoland.

The activity will carry the theme, “Puso para sa kapayapaan, magkaisa para sa Bayan.”

Part of their activity is the peace bus, a peace caravan that have already made its kick off from Baguio city going to Quezon, Legaspi and now they are at Catbalogan city then it will proceed to Butuan.

Their last activity on Sept. 29, the peace bus will arrive in the city where there will be a lot of activities conducted like Huni sa Kalinaw and Film peacetival and a leadership summit for the Bangsamoro. After the peace bus will proceed to Cotabato city and it will end on Oct. 2 in Iligan City.

There will also be a press conference with Secretary Jesus Dureza this coming Friday morning while the venue is not yet announced.
