‘Pasasalamat’ 2018 honors LGU retirees

The city government honored 75 retirees and 14 deceased employees during the “Pasasalamat” program held after yesterday’s flag ceremony at the City Hall grounds.

“This program is to give honor and recognition to the retirees of the City Government for their contribution to the city government,” Erwin Alparaque, chief of the Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) told reporters.

After the recognition during the flag ceremony, another event followed at the Grand Men Seng hotel allotted for the retirees and their families. Mayor Sara Duterte was present in the said event.

Incentives will be given by the city government to the retirees through the program awards incentives service excellence (Praise).

Depending on the number of years they have rendered, the retirees will receive
P1,000 per year of service with a minimum of P15,000. “Some will receive P25,000,
others P40,000. It depends on how long they have served,” said Alparaque.

Alparaque attributes the long years in government service due to their dedication and love for work.

Yolanda Duhaylungsod, a 65-year-old retiree, previously assigned at the
Communications and Electronics Division of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, said that she dedicated her life into giving the best public service that the Davaoenos
deserve.
