PAL Interclub Seniors: Rancho Palos Verdes pace at 2nd in Sportswriters

RANCHO Palos Verdes droved the demanding Marapara course with 108 points on opening day to start their title campaign in the Sportswriters Class of the 32nd Philippine Airlines Seniors Interclub golf team championships in Bacolod City.

Randy Cadiongan had his winning ways at the greens with 39 PAL Stableford points to lead the four-team debut along with Jun Serado, Joe Tesado and Abraham Dizon.

Serado wound up with 37 points while Tesado had 32. Dizon also had 32 points but did not count.

Rancho Palos Verdes trails opening day leader Veterans Golf-A with 111 points while Melbourne Pinoy is at third with 107 and Forest Hills at fourth with 106.

Yet to see action for team Rancho Palos Verdes are Lito Dublan, Deo Cura, Noe Taojo and Elias Arriba.

The Interclub’s Platinum sponsors this year are Primax Broadcasting, RMN and Fox, while major sponsors are BusinessWorld Publishing, Rolls Royce, TV5, Philippine Standard.

Other sponsors include Boeing, Under Armour, Eton Properties and Asia Brewery.
