Oplan Bulabog nets 16 persons

AN OPLAN Bulabog operation conducted in different areas in the city yesterday morning netted 16 people with outstanding warrants of arrest.

City Police Office director Sr. Supt. Alexander Tagum, told TIMES yesterday that the operation was conducted to clear out urban communities of possible presence of criminals and terrorists.

Tagum said the series of operations resulted in the identity check and profiling of 1,762 residents among them 1,644 persons with ID and 118 without ID, and the arrest of 16 wanted persons by virtue of warrants of arrest for various serious criminal cases.

They were identified as Louie Gutierres Margate for Theft; Krizell Apdalis Emani for RA 9165 ; Jonathan Jakosalim Geronda for RA 7610 ; Jino Quijano Banate for Murder; and Sarurnino Cabañero Parba for RA 9262, Leonardo Prado Salcedo for PD 1602 ; and Jonathan Bosquit Alolor for PD 1602.

Also arrested were Christopher Macahine Basoc for PD 1602;  Melmar Nuda Barosa for PD 1602 ; Loida Juyad for violation of SSS LAW;Glenda Mejorada Mercado for violation of Batas Pambansa Bilang 22 (2 counts); Dennis Q Perez for PD 1602;  Diego Jonar Tagum Mansilacan for CO # 004-13 (Liquor Ban) ;  Jefferson Mejares Rocero for disturbances of public order under paragraph 2 and Article 3 of the Revised Penal Code;Manuel E Betil and; Ruel C. Gabaisin for PD 1602.

The operation was conducted in the areas of Sta. Ana (Block 1- Soliman St., Brgy. Tomas Monteverde); San Pedro (Purok 4, Brgy 4-A, Ponciano Street); Talomo (Purok 26 and 27 Muslim Village Times Beach Ecoland); Sasa (Purok 16, Looban, Brgy. Panacan); Buhangin (Sitio Coog, Barangay Mandug, Buhangin); Bunawan (Purok 10-A Tibungco); Toril (Sitio Gutierrez Village, Lizada, Toril); Tugbok (Lemonsito & Santol St., Purok 2, Brgy. Tugbok, Tugbok District); and Calinan (Purok 2-Sason, Brgy. Wangan, Calinan).

The joint operation was conducted by DCPO together with the Task Force Davao, Regional Force Mobile Battalion (RMFB), Philippine Coastguard XI, Regional Mobile Unit, National Intelligence Coordinating agency (NICA) XI, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) XI and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) XI.

The joint operations ended at 9 a.m. yesterday.
