No, low supply of water in south explained by DCWD

THE CITY woke up having no water supply after the Davao City Water District (DCWD) suffered a sudden burst pipe of the main transmission line along MacArthur highway corner Libby road in Puan, 1 a.m. of Saturday.

Water service connections in Puan, Talomo, Bangkal, the downtown areas, including Obrero and Agdao suffered low to zero water pressure.

As of this writing, repair works were still scheduled until 5 p.m., Saturday afternoon, instead of an initially scheduled 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. repair schedule.

DCWD spokesperson Bernard Delima, in a statement, said that the DCWD was working hard to restore water pressure in the city’s downtown area.

“It is a sudden burst that occurred around 1 am this morning,” Delima said.

“All available experienced welders have been dispatched to the site providing technical support. We are doing our best to finish the repair the soonest possible time or ahead of the estimated completion time…”
