Nabbed Chinese fugitive deported

THE LIFE-TERM Chinese fugitive who was arrested by in Dacudao, Agdao on Friday was already brought to Manila for deportation.

 Davao City Police Office director, Sr. Supt. Alexander Tagum, identified the suspect as Fong Hao Ling, alias Fong Jou-rong, a Chinese national wanted by the International Police Organization (Interpol) for large scale fraud.

Tagum said Fong is in the blacklist of the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID) with red letter notice from the Interpol for the crime of Commercial Fraud and Contract Fraud with the penalty of lifetime imprisonment.

 Fong, 53, has been hiding in his rented house in Bo. Obrero.

He was collared near a gasoline station in Dacudao Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. after police received report on his presence in the area.

 Mobile 72, with a team from Sta. Ana Police Station led by Chief Insp. Hamlet Lerios, immediately responded, with the coordination of the BID, the Interpol and the Philippine Center for Transnational Crime (PCTC).

In an interview yesterday, Lerios said Fong was already sent to Manila for immediate deportation procedure.
