KOREAN zombie-outbreak horror Train To Busan leads the new movies released this week at Gaisano Mall Cinemas. Train To Busan opens on Thursday.

To open on Wednesday are the break-in horror Don’t Breathe, hitman sequel Mechanic: Resurrection, back-to-Japanese-origin Godzilla Resurgence, horror Amityville Theater, and the Cinemalaya 2016 most awarded drama Pamilya Ordinaryo.


This film sets the record as the first Korean film to break the audience record with over 10 million theatergoers.

A divorced man, Seok-woo is always caught up at work, leaving him no time to spare with his daughter Su-an. Su-an decides to take the KTX train to Busan by herself to see her mom and Seok-woo is pushed to accompany her to Busan. As the train departs, an abnormal virus spreads from a girl who is infected and people start to transform to zombies.

So the terrified passengers fight their way through a countrywide viral outbreak while trapped on a suspicion-filled, blood-drenched bullet train ride to Busan, a southern resort city that has managed to hold off the zombie hordes… or so everyone hopes.

They struggle to raise their child through shoplifting and pickpocketing… until fate hits back at them. Ertha (Moira Lang), a wolf in sheep’s clothing, takes and kidnaps their son.
