MOTLEY| Christine @ 18: Molded by Mother’s Love

CHRISTINE Cañada, a BS Medical Technology major from the University of the Immaculate Conception and an active youth member of the Canada Clan in Talomo Cemento being the only child of Jenelyn Cañada, has finally arrived in the most awaited moment of her life as she turned 18 years old last December 20, 2015. Her debut is a milestone worth celebrating with grandiosity highlighting her mother’s endless loving care and concern for her through the years.

WITH family and relatives from her grandfather’s side.

Jenelyn raised her daughter Christine alone with the support of her very own family and relatives. Together they were able to create a lovely young lady in Christine, who’s ready to face the mature world equipped with wisdom and teachings from her kins and from her very own mother. The Toscana Clubhouse was transformed into a ravishing place teeming with Christine’s friends, classmates, and relatives. As the program started for the celebration of Christine’s coming out into society as a full-fledged lady, it became the winding up victory of the toiling days of preparation made by her doting Mother Jenelyn aided by her Aunts and fatherly Uncles. Christine’s journey from childhood to lady hood was showcased in a delightful slideshow which kept her friends and classmates swooning to the funny photos of her in her younger years.

Traditional rites such as the Debutant’s Cotillion was participated in by her closest friends and cousins, which has twist modern dance in the end. Presenters of 18 candles for Christine were composed of elementary, high school, and college BFFs of Christine. Offering her 18 cherished treasures were her ninangs and ninongs especially coming from Jenelyn’s workplace ABHWC (Alexian Brothers Health & Wellness Center).

While three other unconventional rites were added to the celebration: 18 shoes for Christine, 18 Knights whom represented by all the men who stood as Christine’s father figure as she grew up alone with her mom, and lastly the 18 shots which was actually a Final Toast to the debutant. The toast was offered for Christine’s continuous beauty inside and out, endless loving and stronger relationship with her mom, and for more fruitful years ahead of her as she dreamed of becoming a Registered Medical Technologist someday! Cheers!!!
