MinBizcon to be held in Tagum, says Milan

TWO local chambers in the region will jointly host this year’s Mindanao Business Conference (MinBizCon), the annual gathering of enterprises and other sectors in the island.

Arturo M. Milan, president of Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCCII), said their group will co-host the event with Tagum City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc.

The MinBizCon will be staged in Tagum City next semester as “we agreed to co-host MinBizCon with Tagum Chamber,” Milan said.

The DCCCII last hosted the conference in 2013. Last year, the annual event was conducted in Cagayan de Oro City.

MinBizCon is an annual event of Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) in Mindanao, which serves as gathering of senior business leaders, members of the chambers of commerce, government policymakers, investors, and other foreign trading partners.

The DCCCII, which has been awarded by PCCI as the most outstanding chamber in Mindanao and in the country, is also strengthening links with other business groups in the island.

“We have initial talks with Zamboanga Chamber, General Santos Chamber, Cagayan de Oro Chamber and Surigao Chamber and they agreed that we have to collaborate closely with them,” Milan said. (KMF)
