SCENE CITY| Mary Ann’s Rendezvous with Classical Music

EARLY in October, we were excited with the invitation extended by Ali and Mary Ann Kimpo Tirol-Alshehri to attend Mary Ann’s birthday party on October 29. What was more exciting was that the party was to be held in Boracay, and we were to stay at Fairways & Bluewaters, where there was a golf course and numerous condos and hotels being built in the area, aside from the impressive ones already existing.

We flew to Kalibo on October 28 with a group from Davao City, including the family of former Davao City Mayor Ben de Guzman and other friends. The ride to Caticlan took almost two hours, ending with a ferryboat ride.

Mary Ann met us at Fairways & Bluewaters, but had Nicole and myself conducted to a condo unit at the Boracay Newcoast, the latest development which is a partnership with Megaworld Global Estate and the Carpio family.
