Love triangle eyed in murder of painter

A PAINTER was shot to death by gunmen on board a motorcycle at Km. 6 corner Carlos P. Garcia highway and Matina Pangi road yesterday morning.

Police identified the victim as Alfie E. Barba, 23, resident of Km. 9 in Matina.

Investigation showed that the victim was riding a tricycle when the perpetrators stopped next to the vehicle and shot him.

The victim sustained a lone gunshot wound on the back of his head.

Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered a cartridge believed to be from a .45 caliber pistol.

His cadaver now lies at Collado Funeral Parlor.

In an interview yesterday, Chief Insp. Milgrace C. Driz, spokesperson  of Davao City Police Office, said Talomo investigators are looking into personal grudge as the possible motive of the killing.

“The police are now investigating whether the victim had enemies at work,” she said.

Driz also said the police investigators are also looking at love triangle as possible motive.
