Lawyer: DCPO must explain why Felonia wasn’t transferred to QC court

THE LAWYER of Sr. Supt. Leonardo Felonia filed for motion after the Davao City Police Office failed to comply with the order of the court to bring him to Quezon City for arraignment.

Atty. Caesar Europa filed a motion for show cause order before the sala of RTC Branch 16 because the DCPO allegedly ignored Judge Emmanuel Carpio’s order to immediately bring Felonia Jr. to the RTC in Quezon City in connection to the murder charges for killing Richard Lim King.

Europa, in a text message, told TIMES that the DCPO has not signified any intention to act on the order “even the schedule of the transport.”

On the other hand, Chief Insp. Milgrace Driz, spokesperson of the DCPO, said Felonia was not yet transported to Quezon City because “they have no time.”

Carpio, in his order, also rejected requests to inhibit himself from handling the case and to suspend the court proceedings.

On Sept. 24, Carpio entered a not guilty plea for Paul Dave Labang, brothers Rommel and Rodel dela Cerna after they failed to attend for the third time their arraignment.

Felonia was dragged into the case after Labang and the dela Cerna brothers tagged him as the mastermind of the crime.
