Korean ambassador visits Ateneo de Davao University

Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Han Dong-Man was the main speaker in the forum organized by the Ateneo de Davao University on Thursday last week.

The high official talked about his vision for peace in both the Korean Peninsula, as well as further advances in the Korean-Philippine relations.

Ambassador Han said the peaceful coexistence and co-prosperity for the Korean peninsula is within grasp. He said there’s a need to close the gap between the North Korea and South Korea. He cited the recent Panmunjom Declaration for Peace and the Korean Unification which happened last April 2018.

“We still worry that what has been achieved is still a work in progress” he said of the Panmunjom Declaration.

He said they are also strengthening the relationship of the Seoul government with its counterparts in Japan, Taiwan, and China so they can all work together for economic development.
