Killings continue 2 murdered on Sunday

A CHINESE mestizo man and a farmer, both 52 years old, were separately killed over the weekend in the city.

Police are still clueless on the separate murder of Bob Te Tan of Barangay Tomas Monteverde, Agdao District, and Segundo Jorolan of Barangay Mapula, Paquibato District.

Tan was killed by still an unidentified perpetrator around 8 p.m. on Sunday at 6th Avenue in Monteverde, just near the victim house at Soliman Street.

According to a 15-year-old witness (name withheld), they were playing basketball when Tan passed by at around 8 p.m. Few minutes later, they heard several gun shots.

They saw someone hurriedly walking away from the crime scene and then boarded an awaiting motorcycle parked at a dim portion of the street.

At 6.m. on Sunday, Jorolan was killed at Pasi-an, Purok B in Barangay Mapula, Paquibato.

Based on the investigation conducted by PO3 Noel Fajardo of Paquibato Police station, Jorolan was feeding his chicken outside his house when someone arrived and shot him.

According to a witness (name withheld), he was inside the house preparing for breakfast while the victim was outside feeding his chicken.

The witness said he heard someone asking his uncle in vernacular word “Pila mo kabuok dri?” When his uncle answered four he immediately heard three gun bursts, the witness said.

The witness then immediately jumped out of the window and ran fast toward the mountain.

After an hour, the witness went back to the house. The witness saw the victim’s body sustaining multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body.

Police recovered from the crime scene three fired cartridges of carbine rifle, and a live ammunition of .45 caliber pistol.
