Housewife nabbed in drug bust

A 29-YEAR-OLD housewife was arrested by the drug enforcement unit of the Talomo Police Precinct in an entrapment operation at Km. 6, C.P. Garcia Highway in Buhangin around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.

City police director, Sr. Supt. Alexander Tagum, identified the suspect to TIMES as Sheloh Jessa P. Dacillo, a resident of Purok Talisay, Barangay Buhangin.

She was arrested after she allegedly sold one small rectangular sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu valued at P500 to a police officer who posed as a buyer.

They also seized from the suspect P300 in cash, her mobile phone and the marked money. These will be used as evidence in the case to be filed against her for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). Dacillo is currently detained in the Talomo Police Precinct.

In other news, the Calinan police arrested a person with pending warrant of arrest in a raid around 8:30 a.m. yesterday.

Tagum identified him as Rene Boy Bacquiano, 32, laborer and resident of Purok 13, Barangay Wangan in Calinan District.

According to the report, personnel of the said station apprehended the suspect inside his house through a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jimmy B. Roco of the Regional Trial Court Branch 1, Hall of Justice in Ecoland for the crime of malicious mischief with case No. M-DVO-17-01407.

The suspect is now detained in the precinct awaiting trial.
