High hopes for Palos Verdes in 70th PAL Interclub

WITH high hopes to surpass last year’s performance host Rancho Palos Verdes parades a complete cast in its bid in the coming 70th Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub which tees off this February 19 to March 4.

Team captain Joe Marfori who leads this year’s cast in the Seniors Division parades Vic Gonzales, Faisal Samanodi, Shoji Koichi, Deo Cura, Lito Dublan, Jorge Segovia and Randy Cadiogan. Its men’s regular team which is composed of veterans and sophomores will have Roderick Lo, Khalik Samanodi, Kuresh Samanodi, Ronald Galicia, Ej Casintahan, Joseph Ng, Chris Tan, Addy Briones, Leo Yap, Marc Lopez and Noe Taojo as team captain.

“We hope that this year’s roster will have a greater chance to win in their respective divisions as hosts,” said Rancho Palos Verdes team manager Vince Lopez.

Aside from Rancho Palos Verdes, co-host Apo Golf and Country Club will also see action in the annual golf spectacle having Enrico Gavino as team captain in the men’s regular and its cast of Vincent Gumapac, Jorge Martinez, Ramon “Monchit” Mackay, Thomas “Toffee” Tionko, Juan Karlos Alba, Jose “Chickoy” Saavedra Jr., Leo Fusilero and Albernito “Den-Den” de Castro.

Another Davao City bet Davao City Golf Club will also compete led by Reinz Yamyamin and captain Apo Luna. Completing the line-up are Edipolo Caturan, Elvie Naranjo, Ludwig Ledesma, Jun Grandeza, Jerson Lebosada, Mark Oropeza, Larry Pasquil, and Richard Bad-Ang. Its Seniors Class will have Eliseo Braganza, Jimmy Dureza, Isagani Gascal, Franklin Buno, Vic Noble, Boy Manajero, Willy de Leon, Anthony Sasin and BenHur Villarosa at reserve.

More than 150 teams have registered in the annual golfing spectacle presented by Philippine Airlines.
