High hopes for hosts Palos and Apo in 70th PAL Interclub

HOST Rancho Palos Verdes and Apo Golf and Country Club in its bid to surpass last year’s performance are in high hopes going to this year’s 70th Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub which tees off on March 1-4.

Rancho Palos Verdes’ men’s regular team parades its cast having PAL Interclub veterans and sophomores having Roderick Lo, Khalik Samanodi, Kuresh Samanodi, Ronald Galicia, Ej Casintahan, Joseph Ng, Chris Tan, Addy Briones, Leo Yap, Marc Lopez and Noe Taojo as team captain.

Co-host Apo Golf and Country Club will banner Enrico Gavino as team captain and its cast of Vincent Gumapac, Jorge Martinez, Ramon “Monchit” Mackay, Thomas “Toffee” Tionko, Juan Karlos Alba, Jose “Chickoy” Saavedra Jr., Leo Fusilero and Albernito “Den-Den” de Castro.

For another local bet – Davao City Golf Club, its parades Apo Luna as team captain along with Reinz Yamyamin, Edipolo Caturan, Elvie Naranjo, Ludwig Ledesma, Jun Grandeza, Jerson Lebosada, Mark Oropeza, Larry Pasquil, and Richard Bad-Ang.

The categories in which these clubs are to compete are still to be determined. All three will be part of the 80 teams which have registered in the annual golfing spectacle.

The 70th PAL Interclub Platinum sponsors are Mareco Broadcasting Network, A&E Networks Asia, RMN Networks, The Manila Standard, Fox Networks Group, Rolls-Royce, TV5, MasterCard, TFC and Business Mirror.
