HCDC, HTC nips foes in 2017 PCCL Minda Finals

TITLE-FAVORITES Holy Cross of Davao College and Holy Trinity College of General Santos City outplayed separate foes to improve respective team standings in yesterday’s ongoing elimination round of the 2017 Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) Mindanao Finals played at the Genesis 88 gym.

Holy Cross of Davao College which represents the city in the five-team cast nipped JH Cerilles State Colleges of Pagadian City, 74-52 for its third straight win in the schedule four-day tournament presented by the SBP-XI chapter.

Ice Gravador’s wards are still playing Southern City Colleges of Zamboanga City as of presstime yesterday at the Davao City Recreation Center (Almendras gym) eyeing for an outright finals berth set today.

Holy Trinity College which sports a 2-1 win-loss card after a 109-82 win next to Xavier University of Cagayan de Oro City are still going up against JH Cerilles State Colleges late afternoon yesterday in a bid to secure the second spot which will automatically qualify them to a finals appearance.

The winner-take-all finals is set today at 4 p.m. right after the 2017 PCCL 3-on-3 Mindanao eliminations.

The 2017 PCCL 3-on-3 Mindanao eliminations is set to start at 8:30 a.m. today to be played at the Davao City Recreation Center to be participated by Xavier University of Cagayan de Oro, JH Cerilles State Colleges of Pagadian City, Holy Trinity College of General Santos City, Southern City Colleges of Zamboanga City and Holy Cross of Davao College of Davao City.
