Graduating HRM student booked on MJ possession

A GRADUATING college student was arrested by elements of San Pedro police when marijuana leaves were seized from him at Metro Station along J.P. Laurel Avenue around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday.

City police spokesperson, Sr. Insp. Catherine Dela Rey, identified the suspect as Shaquille Jeroko Dumbriqoe, 23, graduating college student of Philippine Women’s College taking Bachelor of Science in Hotel Resource and Management ( HRM) and a resident of Bamboo Street in Mintal.

According to the report, the suspect was about to enter the establishment when he dropped on the ground a plastic cellophane. The bouncer, identified as Edgil Andojar, picked up the item.

Upon verification, he found dried marijuana leaves inside the transparent plastic, which prompted him to hold the suspect and call for the police.

Upon arrival, elements of San Pedro police immediately arrested the student.

The suspect is now detained in San Pedro Police Precinct while a case for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared to be filed against him today, Monday.
