Rae grew up in a strict environment with a colonel stepfather. Their family was financially well off until the colonel passed away.

She spent her elementary years at Ateneo de Davao University, her first three years in high school at Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School, proceeded to Southpoint School to finish her senior high school year. In college, she studied computer science, shifted to interior design, shifted to hotel and restaurant management until she decided to stop in 2010 to concentrate on her singing career.

Her first time to perform in front of a crowd was when she was in grade two. She joined the school glee club until grade six. In college, Rae got her first gig with Kaye Cal, Jester, and John – members of what later became Ezra Band. They were then known as KC’s Cream.

Rae claims to have had a session or two with almost all of the popular local bands since 2008. She joined the local auditions for The Voice but she did not make it to the show. To improve herself, she went to Manila and gained fruitful experience with Andrew Barrios (nephew of Bayang Barrios), Dan Billano (singer at Singing Bee and The Voice finalist), and The Zoo Band where Arnel Pineda used to be. With her band called Bratinella, Rae performed in a private party for ABS-CBN top gun Freddie M. Garcia. She also writes political and commercial jingles – including one for Panaderia. Music plays a major role in supporting her basic needs but she also worked as an assistant marketing manager at Molito Mall in Alabang.

Rae is also into an online business of selling her own bleaching cream called Nathaly’s Bleach. She learned the formula from her mother who was a skin care consultant – since Rae was still in grade two. Her mom used to have a home clinic and opened a clinic downtown in 1996 until 2012. Rae renewed her interest in the bleaching cream because she needed extra income to raise her daughter.

Rae is transparent about what she does and her Facebook page is full of announcements about her products, singing engagements, and her lovely daughter. Her gigs are usually at Parking Space at Torres, Club Asiano in Camudmud, Samal, and in private events.

She goes live every now and then on Facebook to sing and also to demonstrate how to use Nathaly’s Bleach. Probably next month, Rae and her daughter will go back to Manila to widen the market for her product and get a certification from the Food and Drugs Administration.

Rae keeps her dream to have a music album alive for a very good reason: she has a good singing voice.

 Good luck, Rae.
