Former school principal sued over illegal drugs    

POLICE have already filed a case against a former principal arrested during the serving of search warrant for a drug case inside his rented room in Upper Salazar, Barangay Central, Mati City at 6:30 a.m. on Friday.

The suspect was identified as Alexander Flores, 53, married, who was renting a room from Leomedez Paica.

Supt. Antonino Ibot, the officer-in-charge of Mati City Police Station, said joint elements of Intelligence Division of Davao Oriental Police Provincial Office, SWAT team and Mati PNP personnel implemented the warrant issued by RTC Branch 32 Judge Emillio G. Dayanghirang III in Lupon, Davao Oriental dated Nov. 24, 2016

Ibot said the suspect was considered a high value target in the province. He was formerly the principal of Tagawisan Elementary School in Barangay Central, Mati.

“He was suspended as a principal but don’t know what is the exact case that caused his suspension,” he said. ”There was a report that he tested positive during a drug test.”

The team was able to seize four sachets of suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia particularly in the rented room and  a color white Cherry Mobile C33 cellphone.

He was now detained in Mati City Police Station while the case for violation of RA 9165 known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002” has been filed against the suspect.
