Flying V Invitational on at RMC gym

THE FLYING V Invitational High School Division I basketball tournament tips off in grand rites today, 9 a.m. at the newly refurbished Rizal Memorial Colleges gym.

Eight schools are set for tip off and to be welcomed by Jerry Alino of the organizing KASAMA and former PSC Commissioner Leon “Binggoy” Montemayor. Also to serve as special guest is first district Congressman Karlo Nograles and Flying V representative Toto Villavicencio.

Ateneo de Davao University heads this year’s cast to be joined by Holy Child School of Davao, Assumption College of Davao, Davao Jones Academy, Holy Cross of Sasa, Jose Maria Colleges, Emar Learning Center and Ford Academy of the Arts.

There will be 5 playing days in this tournament sanctioned by the SBP Region XI chapter. After the opening the next play date will be on August 14, then on August 20-21 and August 27.

The traditional parade of teams will be held showcasing their respective muses, who stand a chance to win special prizes and awards courtesy of Havaianas.

The squads will also be drawing lots for their respective match-ups.
