Firm enhances campaign for financial management

INSURANCE firm Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company (Philam Life) has intensified its efforts to increase awareness among Davoeños on the need to become financially secured.

In line with the company’s 70th anniversary celebration, Jenny C. Santos, director of agencies of Philam Life for South-Central Mindanao, said yesterday in the weekly Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM City Davao-Annex that they recently launched “Live Ready” campaign that aimed to increase financial literacy.

“This is our way to help the government (for the country) to be a financial stable nation,” Santos said.

Without citing specific figures, she said the company’s Davao office already cornered double-digit growth year-on-year both in terms on the number of clients and sales, which signified the increase of financial literacy among Davaoeños.

The company’s clients in the city are guided by their 300 financial advisors.

“Though beyond the figures, what is important is the need to boost the financial literacy among Filipinos. It is our goal to help Filipinos to be financially secured so they can be prepared in the future,” Santos said.

Philam Life is part of AIA Group of Companies.

“At Philam Life, we know that real life never stops changing and that people need a partner who understands and supports them through life’s challenges and opportunities. That is why we are committed to genuinely engage with our customers through meaningful dialogue,” Philam Life said in its website. (By Kristianne M. Fusilero)
