Emilio Escandor Community Outreach Program 2018

BRIGADA Eskwela 2018 was made memorable and meaningful for more than 200 elementary schoolchildren returning to school this schoolyear.

The Royal Mandaya Hotel EECOP and Royal Mandaya Employees Credit Cooperative team enthusiastically reached out to the students of Lampa Lapidan Elementary School before the formal opening of classes for schoolyear 2018-2019.

Lampa Lapidan Elementary School, located in Barangay Mandug, Buhangin District, has a population of 203 enrolled students from Kindergarten 1 to Grade 6 for this year. Founded in 1990 by Lampa Lapidan, this school is a mixture of Muslim and Christian students.

School supplies, used clothes, and slippers were handed out to the students while free haircut for the boys was also given. Nutritious food was distributed to students and parents as well.

As part of the activity, the repainting and repair of some schoolrooms was done by the team.
Students, parents and faculty members, and TRMH team were delighted for the success of this Brigada Eskwela 2018, as TRMH is committed and dedicated to share the hotel’s continued business success to the community.

The Royal Mandaya Hotel had its humble beginnings in 1992 with only 20 rooms. It was built by Colonel Emilio D. Escandor as an expression of love for his wife Violeta. With the hotel’s ever growing clientele, Escandor built a bigger facility. Thus, in September 8, 1998, The Royal Mandaya Hotel came to existence.
