EDITORIAL| A Prayer for Holy Week

THIS week is the final week of Lent – Holy Week. It is a time for entering into the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus, a time for new life and growth. During this week let us unite in prayer as we pray:

Lord Jesus Christ,
in this sacred and solemn week
when we see again
the depth and mystery of your redeeming love,
help us to follow where you go,
to stop where you stumble,
to listen when you cry,
to hurt as you suffer,
to bow our heads in sorrow as you die,
so that, when you are raised to life again,
we may share in your endless joy. Amen.

The Holy Week is the time for quiet reflection of our faith and how we live the passion of Christ in our day to day lives. For many, it is also the time to reconnect with families in prayer through the Way of the Cross. We pray for the safety of the thousands who will be going home to the provinces for the Holy Week. May their journey be free from difficulties and troubles.

For those who prefer to spend it to relax and enjoy a short respite from the rigors of work, we pray that the stress they carry for the most part of the year will be lessened and that the time will be spent healing the body, mind and soul.
