Drug den busted, 4 suspects nabbed

A DRUG den was busted by authorities in Panabo City, Davao del Norte last Saturday, resulting to the arrest of four persons.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI implemented the search warrant issued against Robie Jay Ablen in Purok Manga, Barangay Sto. NiƱo, Panabo City at around 6:50 p.m. Saturday, PDEA XI spokesperson Nephi Noli Dimaandal said.

Aside from the 32-year-old Ablen, the authorities also arrested his cohorts identified as Justine Mae Magallanes Montargo and Fe Isidro Gatchalian.

A drug den visitor identified as Michael Dag-uman Presciosa was also arrested.

The PDEA was aided by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and the Panabo City Police Station in implementing the warrant.

Dimaandal said that two sachets of substance believed to be shabu, weighing 10.48 grams with an estimated street value of P120,000, and assorted drug paraphernalia were recovered during the search.

Meanwhile, the PDEA arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation at 10:35 p.m. Saturday in Isla Verde, Quezon Boulevard area of Barangay 23-C, Poblacion District.

Dimaandal identified the suspect as Akie Samad Datumali, 32, married and resident of the said place.

Datumali was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu, weighting five grams with an estimated street value of P45,000, to a PDEA agent who acted as poseur buyer.

Assorted drug paraphernalia were also seized during the anti-drug operation.

The P1,000 buy-bust marked money and 44 pieces of P1,000 boodle money were also recovered.
