DCPO asks for specific order on Felonia’s transfer to QC

SR. SUPT. Vicente D. Danao Jr., chief of Davao City Police Office (DCPO), said yesterday that they are prepared to transport Sr. Supt. Leonardo Felonia to Quezon City anytime but he needs a specific location.

Danao said the order of Regional Trial Court Branch 16 Judge Emmanuel Carpio to “immediately bring Felonia to Quezon City” in connection to his murder charge on the killing Richard Lim King “was not specific.”

“It’s like dribbling a ball without a specific court,” said Danao.

“Where will I transport him? RTC 1, RTC 2, or RTC 3?” he added. “He might even escape our custody.”

Danao added that they will bring Felonia if the records of the executive court are already transmitted and his case is already raffled off to a specific court.

Lawyer Caesar Europa previously filed a motion for show cause order before of RTC Branch 16 on Tuesday afternoon because the DCPO allegedly ignored the order to bring Felonia Jr. to Quezon City for arraignment.

In the same order, Carpio also rejected the request to inhibit himself from handling the case and to suspend the court proceedings.

Carpio, moreover, entered a not guilty plea for Paul Dave Labang, brothers Rommel and Rodel dela Cerna after they failed to attend for the third time their arraignment on Sept. 24.

Felonia was dragged into the case after Labang and the dela Cerna brothers tagged him as the mastermind of the crime.
