DAVRAA 2015 Davao booters nip DavOr, 5-3

DAVAO City opened their title campaign on a high note after beating host Davao Oriental, 5-3 at the start of the DAVRAA 2015 Boys Football Secondary Division held at the Davao Oriental State Colelge of Science and Technology grounds in Mati, Davao Oriental.

Davao City had two goals each from Joshua Royce Lim and Javi Romero-Salas while Jeffrill Cabaral added one. The squad’s victory also had their younger counterparts inspired by winning in the Elementary Class on a superb 7-0 blanking next to Digos City.

Naz Pascual had three goals for Davao while Amir Amaikurut and James Paje added two each for the victory.

Over at the St. Therese gym, team Davao City dominated Davao del Sur, 11-1 in the women’s futsal competitions led by Joyce Semacio who wound-up with four goals. Bea Felice Panganiban and Patricia Ericka Patricia added similar two goals each while Joanna Marie Adao and Kyra Parona each had one.

In the secondary class, Davao City outclassed host Mati, 14-2 led by Joanna Marie Adao’s five goals. Joyce Semacio backed her up with four goals while Michaela Louise Co had two and Patricia Erika Francisco scored one to complete Davao City’s dominance on opening day. – with reports from Buboy Arrieta, Datu Abing, Weng Sasuman and Ching delos Reyes.
