WANDERLUST| Davao’s latest foodie haven

2016 WAS the year when food parks and food trucks were all the rage around Metro Manila and Cebu. At that time, Davao City was holding one food festival weekend after another while hole-in-the-wall eateries started to mushroom across the metro.

Last weekend, Boxed Up, a food park made of adjoined container vans, opened with much fanfare. Think food stalls of Calzada meets The Venue compound (to those who partied in the late 90s) and set in coalesced metallic intermodal containers. This unique food destination certainly piqued the food-loving Dabawenyos’ interest as throngs of hungry and curious diners flocked to Surveyor Street (yes, same street as Davao’s Little Korea) in Dona Vincenta Village.
