Davao Occidental Tigers nip Tin 24 in exhibition match

MAHARLIKA Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL)-bound Davao Occidental Tigers outplayed commercial team Tin 24, 91-69 in an exhibition match played Wednesday night at the FilOil Flying V RMC Arena.Former PBA stalwart Leo Najorda led the Tigers with 21 points while Bogs Raymundo and Eman Calo chipped similar eight points for the Don Dulay-coached squad.

The Tigers had their game going since tip off for a 55-33 lead at the half and never looked back.

Also seeing action for the Tigers saw Ronald Lamocha, Don Paller, Paul Siarot, AJ Asis, Billy Robles, Louie Medalla, James Regalado, Bob Ombecan, Edrian Lao, Mario Lionida, Joseph Terso, Miko Estrellante, Don Adormeo and Jay Cabanog with assistant coaches Rob Wainright and Arvin Bonleon.

Import Jean Impouma led Tin 24 with 14 baskets on a losing effort. Tin 24, one of Davao City’s fast rising commercial teams also paraded its cast having Chris Jatico, Jeff Aguarra, Greggy Delica, Alvin Calatayud, Vince Cuajao, Bryan Manulat, JR Atablanco, MC Latosa, Miguel Plata, Themor Aslam, Dave Arana, Mike Medrano, Epe Refuerzo and Mark Suico along with headcoach Rod Conda and assistants Prince Macavinta and Alex Torres.

The exhibition match was presented by the DBBL, Panadero and the SBP-XI.

The Davao Occidental Tigers will see action in the MPBL’s 2018 season which will tip off on June 12. Their first assignment will be team Imus, Cavite on June 13.
